About
My name is Jessica Easto, and I am a writer and editor based in Chicago, Illinois. I have a bachelor's degree in journalism and an MFA in fiction writing. I’ve published short fiction, and I’m working on a novel. I’ve worked on literary magazines, taught writing at the college level, and developed content for marketing agencies and businesses. I spent several years in house at an independent trade publisher mastering all editorial roles (from managing to acquisitions), and now I freelance full-time for publishers (mostly) and teach copyediting and proofreading at DePaul University as part of its master’s in writing and publishing program. I'm also a coffee expert. I dabble in online coffee writing, and my critically acclaimed books, Craft Coffee: A Manual and How to Taste Coffee were published in 2017 and 2023, respectively.
